About

Photo of myself, Chris Brummel

I’m Chris Brummel, and I’ve been designing digital stuff since the early 90s and made it my career since ’95. I’ve had the good fortune to work with clients such as Google, Viacom, Sony, Amazon, Sesame Street, and a lot of other fun stuff. In that time, I’ve built, managed, and grown design and product teams from zero to over 100+ in small and large organizations. I’ve had the opportunity to talk about these things at conferences like UXPA, Seattle Interactive, ConveyUX, and more.

Otherwise, I’m a recent first time father, so I’m learning the ins and outs of parenthood. I’m a musician and a big music fan, but the older I get, the less I play out. I’m not a sports fan, but for whatever reason I’m a sucker for basketball. My wife and I love to travel and are looking forward to doing that a lot more with our daughter.

In 2012, I designed the Wheel of Fortune mobile app, which was the #1 game on iOS and Android for a good while. I love just watching someone play it for the first time. They didn’t notice, but we snuck Louie CK in as a competitor.

Way back in the day, I designed the original Foursquare for the first version of Android, which was downloaded millions of times. At one point, it was one of the fourth or fifth biggest social media sites in the world.

Lastly, I’m working on a new side business, but I’m not quite ready to share more details quite yet… 😏
