Almost every month down in LA, there is a Thunderdome style “video-off”. Contestants submit their 5-min. entries to a pannel. After the entries are sifted through, they are shown to an drunk audience who votes for the top 5. At the end of the night, the winners are allowed to continue their 5-min. story.I’ve been watching Channel 101 for almost two years; and in that time, I’ve watched the show grow to include entries from all over the states and celebs like Jack Black and Drew Carrey. The bar is raised a little more each month.Highlights include:

For those not familiar with Jim Woodring, he’s kinda like the Salvador Dali of comics. It’s because of work like his that I don’t have to do drugs to be able to relate to what fucked-up people see. Thank you for saving me, Jim Woodring. Somebody over in Japan did a little animation based on some of Jim’s characters from his Frank series.
